Moodlight
Moodlight is an emotional intelligence tool designed for teams. Group members share how they feel through the “Emotion Dial”, see the whole team’s mood in real time and get guidance on how to manage their emotions. We created a brand identity that makes emotions easy to recognise, share and talk about.
A Brand That Shows Its Feelings
Moodlight is used at the start of retrospectives, workshops, webinars and classroom discussions. Each participant turns the “Emotion Dial” to pick one of over 100 emotions, and the group instantly sees its shared mood. It’s a simple ritual that brings authenticity and psychological safety to every conversation. The brand needed to feel just as human: warm, playful and approachable, while still earning the trust of companies, trainers and schools.
The idea lives in the logo itself. The two “o” letters in Moodlight become a pair of eyes, with small arcs above them as eyebrows. Just by changing the eyebrows, the same face can look happy, calm, surprised, sad or angry. This simple system grew into a whole set of emotional characters, each with its own colour, that work as icons in the product and as stickers, badges and patterns in the real world.

Emotions You Can Wear
Moodlight is made to help people feel understood, so the brand had to go beyond the screen. We brought the emotional characters and bold colours onto everyday objects: hoodies, tote bags, notebooks, stickers and badges. Each item carries a piece of Moodlight’s personality, turning the brand into something people enjoy using, wearing and sharing.
The playful palette and friendly faces make the brand warm and approachable, which is essential for a product about feelings. Bright yellow, coral, green and blue bring energy and optimism, while deep purple adds stability and recognition. Together they make it easier to start a conversation about how we feel, at work, in the classroom or anywhere else.
